Information about the conference

The idea and organization of the first OTO meetings originated 34 years ago at the then Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Osijek, with the participation of engineers from the Maintenance Society Osijek (DOO). Since then, the OTO has developed into a regional interdisciplinary scientific conference, organized from the very beginning in cooperation with the economy of the Slavonia-Baranja region as well as the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Osijek.

In order to maintain continuity after the termination of the DOO, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek (FERIT) took over the organization of the conference. With the support of colleagues from other institutions of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, they successfully organized the OTO 2017 and OTO 2018 conferences in Osijek, where 56 papers were presented. These papers were double-checked by a review committee composed of scientists from five countries. This was a significant step forward in terms of organization and programming compared to previous years' conferences, and the conference was granted the status of an international scientific event.

The final discussions of the Program and Organizing Committee of the OTO conference, based on the papers presented and feedback from participants, underlined the need to continue the tradition of organizing OTO conferences in other cities in the Slavonia-Baranja region, with a stronger representation of authors from the industrial sector.

As the field of technology and maintenance has expanded from industrial and agricultural production to the maintenance of municipal infrastructure, the responsibility for organizing the OTO conferences was given to the think tank "Panon" - the Institute for Strategic Studies Osijek - with the support of FERIT and the Faculty of Civil Engineering Osijek.

We look forward to continuing the successful cooperation between the production and service sector and the scientific community.

OTO 2025 - CALL FOR PAPERS

Researchers are invited to submit original research papers and scientific contributions that align with the thematic areas of the OTO 2025 conference. The dissemination of knowledge and advances in the field of maintenance is vast and multi-faceted, encompassing a variety of media and platforms. In this context, the International Conference on Organization and Technology of Maintenance (OTO) serves as a central forum for the presentation and discussion of current innovations, emerging trends and critical issues in the field of maintenance.

The main objective of the OTO is to promote the exchange of ideas, methods and empirical findings between professionals and academics from various technical disciplines. These include electrical, civil and mechanical engineering as well as other technical fields that overlap with maintenance practice. In addition, the conference promotes interdisciplinary approaches that integrate insights from different fields to address complex maintenance challenges.
